The topic categories that fit into these categories are:Argumentative essay topics are open ended and can range from a few sentences to an entire thesis and may contain topics as varied as infidelity, sex, politics, aging, the environment, etc. Of course, some topics are easier than others to write about.Your primary goal in writing your argumentative essay topics should be to express an opinion. By making this your focus, it will make it a lot easier for you to write about the topics you believe in or are passionate about.Arguments should be able to hold their own against counter arguments and facts. If the argument is weak, there should be an alternate fact to count er that argument, or at least give the viewer a good idea of where the argument needs to head. Keep in mind that when you write your essay, you want it to sound natural, and you need to help your audience get what they need to hear. When writing the topic topics, keep in mind that you need to make statements and assertions, but do not be so rigid about them that they become factual statements or subjective statements. Be sure to use all of your rhetorical skills, including exaggeration, wit, imagery, and descriptions, to create a story about the topic that would be believable to most people. Create an original situation and use language to illuminate the fact and theme of the case. You can tell the story by writing about someone who has similar experience or describe an interesting fact about the subject. The next time you are writing argumentative essay topic topics, try not to make them too long. The longer the essay is, the more time is wasted on the writer's part because he or she has to write just for one sentence. Try to come up with interesting ways to convey the information and concepts in a short amount of time.To finish, you will have to practice writing your argumentative essay topics and work to improve your skill in order to stand out from the rest of the crowd. A persuasive essay is not an easy task, but when you take the time to practice and understand the concepts, you will be well on your way to writing persuasive essays.
Topics For Documented Essay
Topics For Documented EssayYou are getting ready to give a documented essay that you wrote. You have just filled out the application and finally can sit down at your computer and start writing. You've read your topic, know what the real goals of your essay are, and now you just need to start.First you need to decide on the topic of your essay. This is where most essays fail and make your reader go blank when reading your essay. If you can't figure out the topic of your essay or if you already know the topic but just need a little more direction, it is important to start by writing about a true topic that you know and care about. For example, if you were taking the bar exam you would not want to write about the weather, school, or anything else that you thought was funny. Instead, you would want to write about something like how difficult it is to apply for that test or how long it takes to pass.Next you need to decide on the format for your essay. When you are writing a document, mos t people find that they like to be able to see what the entire essay looks like so they can figure out the topic they want in their essay. The best way to find out what the organized format should be is to try writing in this format. Write about what you know and how you know it. You might even think of an idea for your topic and that will be your topic. One option that is good and helps prevent problems is to use the original format and then write in the reverse format. For example, write about the topic in the original format and then try to put it into the reverse format. You can also use the reverse format to reword your essay. If you do use the original format and it doesn't make sense, it is important to go back and rewrite it completely. If you write about what you know and what you don't know about it is okay, then you know that you just need to change the format or reword. If you do this process and make changes to your original essay, you will find that it is much easier to w rite the document as a whole. The document you write will be much better for you will get better grades.Once you find the topic you want to write about, go ahead and start writing it. You want to make sure that you have everything you need in order to organize your topic correctly and that you have included all of the elements you need in order to really put together the document you have written. It is important to make sure that you do this process because the only person that sees your document is the person that you are writing to. Make sure that you put your audience in the front of your document so that you can tell them what the essay is about.

My First Committed My Gender Norm Violation - 1819 Words
When I first committed my gender norm violation, I did not realize what a response it would bring about from my friends, family and even strangers. I went into the hair salon with my best friend, Annie, only to get a trim but then without telling anyone else decided I wanted something entirely different and cut off 11 inches of my hair. When asking the woman who was doing my hair to do so, she looked at me slightly confused and worried. She asked me in a very concerned voice, ââ¬Å"All of it? Are you sure? Thatââ¬â¢s a very big difference.â⬠To which I responded, ââ¬Å"Absolutely, I want a big change.â⬠Her face was still slightly unsure about my decision but she proceeded to cut my hair anyways. After it was done I felt empowered. I could not believe I had finally done the pixie cut I had wanted to do for so long and finally felt the courage to do so. It looked amazing, I loved it and I felt on top of the world. It was the most amazing feeling, until I left the salon and other peopleââ¬â¢s negative opinions and looks immediately started to surround me and quickly impacted how I felt about the new change. The feeling of confidence quickly vanished from my mind, and all I could think about was, ââ¬Å"Do I look ok?â⬠Seeing my family for the first time after the cut, they were all in shock. Right when I walked through the door, they did a complete triple take and asked me what prompted me to do this ââ¬Å"radicalâ⬠change and if everything was okay. Social Class As A Society Based On Social And Economic Status
This essay will explore the notion of social class and whether it is still relevant within todayââ¬â¢s society. The Oxford Dictionary defines social class as ââ¬Ëa division of a society based on social and economic statusââ¬â¢ and is measurable in terms of stratification and inequality. Stratification suggests people are ranked hierarchically according to their attributes such as income, wealth, power, age, gender and status, whereas, inequality explains the difference between people in terms of their abilities and rewards The Functionalist, Libertarian and Egalitarian models all attempt to explain stratification. The Functionalist model argues that social inequality is necessary in modern society, as long as recruitment is based on merit, withâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Theoretical concepts on class include the ideas of Marx, Weber and Bourdieu. For Marx, ââ¬Å"wage labourers, capitalist and landlords, form three great classes of modern society.â⬠(Marsh, 2013, p158) Marx saw class as a way of understanding how society and history interact. A personââ¬â¢s class can affect them in ways they are not conscious of. It operates as a social force that influences, opportunities and governs relationships. Marx used this to explain the opposed interests between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The bourgeoisie own the means of production, meaning they can protect what they have, whilst the proletariat sell their labour for little value, exercising much less power. (Marsh, 2013) Hughes (1984) stated that, ââ¬ËWeber regarded power as the primary relationship between unequal groups in societyââ¬â¢. Power can be divided into three spheres of activity ââ¬â class, status and party. (Marsh, 2013, p160) Class situation is determined by the shared life chances that people enjoy as a result of the value of their skills and possessions in the market place. Status defines how a community judges someoneââ¬â¢s social status according to cultural standards such as education, occupation, speech and dress. Party is when people organise themselves into political parties that represent their economic interests. (Marsh, 2013) Bourdieu suggests that our place in the hierarchy is influenced by a range of resources at
Merchant Of Venice Shylock The Antagonist Essay Example For Students
Merchant Of Venice: Shylock The Antagonist? Essay In The Merchant of Venice, by William Shakespeare, there appearsShylock. He is a Jew, that much we are told in the cast list. But, as the play unfolds Shylock is seen to be the villian. He isprotrayed as being cold, unbending, and evil. But is he? IsShylock really the antagonist in this play or can he also beviewed as persecuted individual who resorts to revenge only afterhe has been pushed too far. To fully understand the character of Shylock we must first look atElizabeathen attitudes towards Jews. In the sixteenth centuryJews were rarely if ever seen in England. In the Middle Ages Jewshad fled to England to escape persecution in France under theNormans. They were granted charter in England by Henry I inreturn for a percentage of their profits from trade andmoneylending. It is here that the stereotype of Jews lendingmoney was started. Because of the tariffs placed on them by thecrown Jews took to charging high interest rates to secure profitsfor themselves. Here we see echos of Shylock with his usury. Finally the Jews were ordered out of England in 1254 by Edward I. They did not return to England until the later half of theseventeenth century. (Lippman 3-4) Jews were also viewed as devilsby Elizabeathan audiences. Old stories portrayed them as blood-thirsty murders that poisoned wells and killed Christian childrenfor their bizarre Passover ritu! als. (Stirling 2:1)These werethe stereotypes which Shakespeares audience held in regard toJews. Shakespeare himself had never seen a Jew but he goes togreat lengths to humanize Shylock even while perpetuating thestereotype. In Act 1:3, before Shylock ever says a word to Antonio, he letsthe audience know in an aside that he hates Antonio. He hates himfor having hindered him in business and for having humiliated himin public by spitting on him and calling him names such as dogand cutthroat Jew. Shylock tells the audience he hopes to exactrevenge on Antonio both for his own humiliation and for thepersecution that the Jews have long suffered at the hands of theChristians. I hate him for he is a Christian;. . . If I can catchhim once upon the hip, I will feed fat the ancient grudge I bearhim. He hates our sacred nation . . . Curs?d be my tribe if Iforgive him (I,iii,40-49) Shylock then tells Antonio that he wantsto be friends with him and will conclude the bond for a pound offlesh as a merry sport. In the second act, however, he stillseems to bear a deep grudge against the Christians, for he tellsJessica that he is going in hate and not in friendship to dinewith them. But yet Ill go in hate to feed upon the p rodigalChristian. . . .I am right loath to go. (II,v,14-16) AfterJessicas elopment, Shylock suspects Bassanio and Antonio ofabetting her escape, and this suspicion increases Shylocksanimosity toward Antonio. We learn later in the play that Antoniohas personally rescued a number of debtors from Shylocks bondswhen Antonio says I oft delievered from his forfeitures; Manythat have made moan to me. (III,iii,23-24) We also discover thatShylock cannot or will not explain his reasons for demandingAntonios flesh. But say it is my humor, is all the reason heis able to show. The sum of Shylocks motives for hatred is gi!ven in the rarely quoted lines b efore the famous Hath not a Jeweyes: He hath disgraced me, and hindred me half a million;laughed at my losses, mocked at my gains, thwarted my bargains, cooled my friends, heated mine enemies_and whats his reason? Iam a Jew. (III,i,49-54) (Lippman 2)Shylock himself is an alien in a society geared towardsChristians. His clothes, customs and race ma ke him an object ofscorn in Venetian society. We as a modern audience are bound tofeel some sympathy for him. When Jessica runs away from home werealized that Shylocks most trusted prop has failed him, heplaced absolute confidence in his daughter with his house andwealth. The fact that he cries out for his ducats as well as hisdaughter should not obscure the sense of keen personal loss hefeels. I say my daughter is my own flesh and blood. (III,i,34)We also see this when Tubal tells Shylock that Jessica has tradedone of his rings for a monkey. Shylocks lamentation for his lostturquoise ring that he had of Leah when I was a batchelor, showsus that indeed he does have sentimentality in him and he wouldnthave parted with that ring for a wilderness of monkeys.(III,i,110-113) Here Shakespeare attaches a small snippet ofhumanity to a character seen as i! nhuman for the most part. .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .postImageUrl , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:hover , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:visited , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:active { border:0!important; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:active , .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u5c30316e2370e6bbe7d68ec39e11ae8c:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Technological development EssayHowev er, our sympathy for Shylock does not reach its heighthuntil the famous speech:Hath not a Jew eyes?Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? They have been replaced by surgical techniques, such as vacuum aspiration, or suction curettage. One of the biggest challenges of writing a research paper on abortion is how you will define the term. This is a very difficult decision to make, and it should not be taken lightly. You should also know that there are different techniques used for late term abortion, which is known as dilation and extraction. D&E is a common method of early abortion because it is much easier to do. You will be able to quickly get the procedure done without many complications. In addition, this will ensure that the fetus remains intact after the procedure.Abortion has a long history in the United States and has been legal since 1973.
